I went out to do an easy 3 miles (1 mile warm-up, 1 mile fartlek and 1 mile "whatever"), but wound up doing a tempo 5K. I did it in 33:05 for a 10:41 pace, baby. (And 640 calories burned.)
While I often complain I am slow, I am 2 minutes per mile faster this year than I was last year at this time. If I can keep up my fitness, I'm hoping to be a regular 9:30 miler by next year, if not sooner! That will require a bit more effort on my part, I guess.....

I am so superstitious about some things...I wore this red shirt the last two times I ran outside, and I ran really well both times...so now I'm thinking I need to wear this shirt for my race. :) I'm just hoping it's cool that day, because it's a long-sleeved shirt.
